Eligibility Criteria
A student should have earned a minimum of 85 graded credits with the CGPA more than or equal to 6.0 at the end of the 5th semester to opt for capability linked opportunity. A student who has completed 85 graded credits can take 700 Level courses.
Credits Requirements
A student needs to complete a total of 20 Credits in the Major/DepartmentSpecializationor Minor/Interdisciplinary Specialization area offered. Ten (10) Credits out of 20Will be taken up as a part of Open electives, where as the student is required to opt for an additional 10 credits in the form of course overload. This will be indicated in the degree.
Starting from the sixth semester, students who have earned 85 graded credits with CGPA more than or equal to 6.0 are permitted to take upto 4 extra Credits as part of their normal load, which forms part of her/his additional learning component, every semester in addition to the prescribed courses for their degree.

Dual Degree
Eligibility Criteria
Students who have already opted for Major/Department Specialization,Minor/Interdisciplinary Specialization can opt for a dual-degree Programme from the eighth semester provided they have earned a minimum of 130 graded Credits with at least 6 CGPA at the end of the 7th semester. As a special case, a student may be allowed to opt for a dual degree by the end of 8th Semester if the student has atleast 6 CGPA and continued specialization.
Credits Requirements for B.Tech.+M.Tech./MBA Dual Degree in the chosen specialisation
A student needs to complete a total of 54 graded and 2 non-graded Credits in the Minor, Department, or Interdisciplinary area offered towards M.Tech. and 58 graded and 11 non-graded Credits towards MBA. It will include credits earned for Major/Departmentor or Minor/Interdisciplinary area Specialization, excluding the project credits. Credits of Minor/Specialization done in Semester VI and Semester VII if not part of M.Tech./MBA Programme will be counted towards programme electives. Students will be required to complete all core courses except for preparatory and bridge courses. Students will be required to take additional Credit of Programme Elective against preparatory courses.
